Have you ever heard the saying that "terapia es para los locos"/"therapy is for crazy people"? Yep, I grew up hearing that in my comunidad. My goal is to end this stigma for mental health. Just like we go to a doctor when we are sick, in the same way, we can go to a therapist or psychologist when facing life’s challenges or dealing with emotional problems. Therapy can also help you manage daily life stressors, find a better work-life balance, work through your grief, anxiety, trauma, etc.
Seeking help from a therapist is nothing to be ashamed of, in fact, it is brave and courages and something to be proud of.
