Mishka Kimball is a bilingual, Latinx Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working in private practice in the city of Woodland Hills. She earned a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology, with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mount Saint Mary’s University. Mishka is also a Certified Anger Management Counselor and provides anger management coaching.
Mishka is fluent in Spanish and loves to work with the Latinx Comunidad. She is also an advocate for mental health in her community and has been featured on Univision 34, VoyageLA, LATV, Hola.com, Telemundo, and many Podcast interviews discussing important topics to help break the stigma of mental health.
Mishka focuses on providing therapy to young, ambitious and creative adults, who want more from life, feel stuck and are ready to transform and become their best selves.
Her approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy integrated with Gestalt techniques, and a client-centered approach that focuses on body, mind, and spirit. She believes that every person has the potential to overcome obstacles and she works collaboratively with each individual in order to help them find their strengths, meet their goals, and lead happier lives.
Mishka also enjoys being a professor of Psychology at Mount Saint Mary's University and has taught the following classes: Lifespan Development, Cognitive Psychology, Alcohol and Substance Abuse, and Psychology Practicum.
Mishka is also very active in her community an is currently the President Elect of the non-profit, San Fernando Valley California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (SFV-CAMFT). She will be the first Latinx President of this organization since the 90's in the year 2021.
